Det är dubbelt Tidö och Race4Health i topp efter den tredje etappen i strapatsrika East African Safari Rally där Stig Blomqvist leder före Richard Göransson.
Multiförarkonstnären Richard Göransson slog till med sträckseger på tredje etappens morgon, men när dammet lagt sig och leran spolats av på kvällen var det fortsatt världsmästarrutin i topp med Stig Blomqvist i ledning.
Richard Göranssons codriver Emil Axelsson berättar om jakten på Stig och Stephane:
– We caught Stig in the dust and managed to take back about two minutes in the first section, even though sometimes we found the navigation more tricky. There were moments where we had to decide from several tracks, but it was still a result.
Teamchefen David von Schinkel berättar om teamets framfart på den tredje etappen:
– The country we drive through is so breathtaking, and yesterday we could take part of the sunset around Kilimanjaro. Richard was the fastest driver today, and Stig remains in the lead, so we are all really happy. Today we were driving on the savannah and the navigation can be really difficult. Christer and Mattias was happy to be back on four wheels after driving 70 km yesterday on three wheels…. Me and Per in the pink Björkman Zelmerlöw Foundation car had a great day, except we had to stop for 15 minutes when another car in front of us stood still.
