2015 är det satt för premiär av Volkswagen GRC Beetle och liksom med WRC-Polon är Volkswagen Motorsport med partners är noggranna och grundliga i sitt förarbete med att ta fram en ny tävlingsbil.
Chefen på Volkswagen Motorsport Jost Capito, på engelska, om den 544 hästar starka rallycrossbilen:
– We’re really excited and even a little nervous that the Beetle is making its Rallycross debut in Los Angeles. Over the past few months we have joined forces to work on getting this unique racer up and running and can’t wait to see it compete for the first time. The remaining events in the Global Rallycross series this year are extremely valuable for gaining as much experience in this brand new car as possible and to prepare it perfectly for the 2015 season.”
