Det svenska VM-rallyt fick bästa möjliga start på fredagskvällen när det visade sig att ingen kunde rå på Pontus och Emils tid på travbanan.
En sträckseger i en WRC2-bil och i ledning i ett VM-rally, det var vad Pontus Tidemand och Emil Axelsson kunde ta med sig när de checka in på hotellrummet ikväll. Så här sa Pontus själv (på engelska) efter sin sträckseger.
– I really enjoyed that – I always do. Everything felt good and we couldn’t have made a more perfect start to our home event.
– It was great to see so many spectators out supporting us, and I think we gave the home crowd something to cheer about tonight, avslutar Pontus.
Teamchefen Malcolm kunde också glädja sig.

– I don’t think there could have been a more popular overnight leader than the one we have here tonight. Pontus and Emil made the perfect start.
